Dawn Saunders

Dawn Saunders is a seasoned higher education professional with a robust background in student support, academic advising, and institutional innovation. Currently serving as a GPTZero Certified Educator and Academic Advisor at Averett University, Dawn is known for her student-centered approach and operational expertise. She manages a caseload of over 180 online learners across undergraduate and graduate programs—including many active-duty military students—ensuring a seamless academic journey through personalized advising, proactive issue resolution, and close collaboration with financial aid, enrollment, and academic departments. Her efforts have led to the creation and ongoing management of a dual-enrollment program, extending college-level access to high school students.
