Samantha Libman

Samantha Libman, DOT, is a Behavioral Health Counselor at the Eating Recovery Center in Chicago – Huron, where she provides compassionate, evidence-based support for individuals navigating complex behavioral and mental health challenges. Drawing from her background in special education and her advanced training in occupational therapy, Samantha approaches care with a deep understanding of both emotional and functional needs, ensuring each client’s unique goals are at the center of her work.
Samantha recently completed her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy at the University of Illinois Chicago, building on her Bachelor of Science in Special Education and Teaching from The Ohio State University. During her undergraduate studies, she served as Director of Lifetime Membership for Delta Delta Delta, was President of Best Buddies International, and contributed to the ACTIVEmini research project through Nationwide Children’s Hospital, experiences that honed her leadership skills and passion for advocacy.
Her professional interests include integrating behavioral health and occupational therapy to improve quality of life, fostering resilience in patients with eating disorders, and developing individualized interventions that promote both mental and physical well-being. Samantha’s work is rooted in empathy, evidence-based practice, and a commitment to empowering individuals on their path to recovery.
